Wedding season isn't necessarily confined to the summer months, we now see weddings all year round. At busy times of the year we find ourselves inundated with requests that sadly we do have to decline.

Due to the bespoke and personal nature of our service, we only take on one or maybe two wedding orders per week. We do not want to be providing mass produced cakes or compromising quality, as the essence of our service is that we produce a wedding cake that is unique and personal to you- and this takes time, effort and the utmost of dedication.

We are now offering you the chance to 'Reserve your Date' for the special price of £50.

Upon receipt of your deposit (which will be deducted from the final cost of your cake) we will ensure that your order is tentatively booked in our diary. Once we have one wedding order for that week we generally class ourselves as fully booked and would only take on further orders after careful consideration of the workload of that existing order.

The final details of your wedding cake can be left until 3 months before your wedding where you can schedule a face to face consultation to discuss the requirements of your cake in greater detail.

The Pretty Cake Company was honoured to be asked to display at the prestigious Squires Kitchen 2011 exhibition back in March as part of their Wedding Cake Showroom. The 3 day event showcased the latest in wedding cake trends by the UK's top wedding cake designers and was attended by thousands of people who had come from all across the globe to be part of this annual occasion that is a must for every keen cake enthusiast! A brilliant experience and one to encourage us to raise the bar even higher with our forthcoming designs for the next year.

Here is a recent favourite wedding cake from The Pretty Cake Company. A beautiful elegant wedding cake with a vintage feel and finished with handcrafted sugar roses. A hand piped lace decoration using a brush embroidery technique, draped down the front of the three tier cake. The cakes iced in a light caramel and finished with a pearl lustre, gave the perfect backdrop for the lace detail, and the sugar roses were dusted with a delicate peach. Definitely one of our favourites from this years collection!

We will be exhibiting at the following Wedding Fairs, do come along and meet us, discuss your wedding cake requirements and sample our delicious cakes. We will also be taking bookings at these fairs. We were approached by a client to reproduce a wonderfully elegant cake she had seen. Although it was all in ivory, it was an absolute beauty! Standing 5 tiers high, it was consisted of 3 cakes separated by rose covered columns. Over 250 tiny sugar roses were made to cover the separators and they were studded with Swarovski ® crystals. Each of the cake tiers had an intricate piped design and the top tier was adorned with a beautiful arrangement of ivory sugar roses and more crystals!

August saw us commissioned to make the biggest creation in our history! A massive 6 tier wedding cake made to look like a stack of off-set presents. The base tier was an enormous 18'' square fruit cake and the tiers got gradually smaller until it finished with an 8'' round hat box cake on the top! The colours were in striking shades of coral with some simple gold enhancements. The cake weighed in excess of 60kg and had to be assembled at the venue in Blunsdon, Wilts. We are very proud of this achievement as it has pushed our capabilities and creativity! We love a challenge at The Pretty Cake Company, so do contact us to discuss your wedding cake requirements.

Samantha Tempest held her first cupcake workshop this month as part of an activities weekend for a group of Hens! She took along a huge quantity of undecorated cupcakes and after a demonstration session, let the girls loose on a vast array of frostings, sprinkles, confectionery and cake decorating equipment supplies. The girls were encouraged to bring out their creative side and everyone seemed delighted with their results! A very enjoyable experience all round. We were honoured to be asked to design and make a large celebration cake for the Cotswold Wildlife Park in Burford, to welcome the new giraffes to the park. This also co-incided with the Park's 40th anniversary and the owner of the park's Diamond Wedding! A large party with over 400 guests, was held to celebrate these momentous occasions so we felt especially priviliged to be commissioned for such an important event in the park's history.
